Daily Rituals

Daily rituals. This is something that has perplexed me for some time now.

As an independent artist, I should have a regular daily schedule, right?

I should at least pretend to keep regular business hours. 

My friend Linda over at Lime In The Coconut gave me a lovely book

which I read throughout the last two weeks. 

It's filled with the daily rituals of tons of famous creatives;

artists, authors, poets, composers and more.

I found that there are more than a few common habits that run

between creative people.

For example there's a lot of walking that goes on.

A lot of mind altering substances are ingested.

And joyfully, a LOT of these folks put in only 3 concentrated hours

being creative each day. (So far so good!)

Mostly I confirmed that it's totally individual, the creative's day.

Surprise. And whew. Insecurity be gone.

Anyway, it's a fun read, one that you can easily pick up

for a moment here and there when you have one.
