The Mud Show Diaries

Because of my friends Lucky Eddie and Miss Vickie, I've started following "The Mud Show Diaries", a blog about life on the road in a small traveling circus. This circus is the Kelly Miller Circus.

Following this large extended family appeals to me because of my vagabond years as a cruising sailor. When we go to the circus, we are entertained, we enjoy, we go home. Rarely do we think about how life is on the road, who puts up the tents, how are the monumental logistics of moving something this big every day accomplished. Who are the people who make up this mud show?

Valérie Berta Torales gives us an eloquent picture of those very things, plus life on the road with a young family. This is a must follow.

What I Did On My Summer Vacation

With an inspiring view like this . . .

I got some creative time in during my visit to Eleuthera.
90% of the materials used in these creations was found on the beach. Gotta love it, a veritable supermarket of art materials!

My friend Carol and I collaborated on some.

I did some others.

Carol made these ceramic heads in Peru.
I made these "Bahama Heads" with the Peru Heads!

We fed our souls.
